Here we are again! With another season comes another trends blog and this time we’re ready to brighten things up as the warmer weather rolls in. Though some winter trends are going strong and sticking around, we welcome a few new looks that you’ve no doubt seen steadily make an appearance the last few weeks – especially as the awards season peaks and the likes of America and Europe finish up their summer lovin’. Like most trends, the Northern Hemisphere do it first, giving us Southerners time to see what truly sticks.

70’s vibes are here to stay and we’re not mad about it, while we also embrace low-maintenance looks with less upkeep and styling needed – what sweet sweet words to hear those hair rookies.

So, here we have it – the 2021 Spring hair trends edit. What will you be giving a whirl?

1/ FACE THE BANGERS

Our number one trend for Winter and again for Spring – curtain bangs are sticking around!

Not only have they withstood the trend cycle of 2021 thus far, but we’ve also seen them evolve.

This Spring, we welcome curtain bangs and flawless face framing with Farrah Fawcett vibes and soft, feminine edges. It’s an ideal halfway marker if you’re tempted to take the plunge with a fringe, yet don’t have the chop courage.

2/ LAYER UP

When in doubt, layer it out! This season we’ll see long layers making a strong resurgence.

While they’re always a safe go-to and have never truly gone out of style, the long-layered look will be at the top of the ‘requests’ folder with the likes of Em Rata’s new locks, Shay Mitchell, JLo and more (to name just a few).

3/ THE SHORT & BLUNT

If you’re ready to turn up the heat with a statement, here it is. Fringes are clearly in full-swing this season with nothing off-limits.

In and out of style from eras passed, short and blunt fringes are back with a bang.

If you’re not yet daring enough to take the full chop, opt for a blunt but longer fringe to create some shape. You’ll see this a fair bit, especially with red-carpet sleek buns.

4/ THE COLD SHOULDER

Did we get your attention? Good! But, there’s nothing cold about it – only warm, warm good, Spring lovin’ vibes.

Take the weight and maintenance out of your locks and go with the middle-mark. Whether it’s finished with layers or blunt ends, shoulder length hair is where it’s at this season.
